PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a comparator circuit that suppresses power consumption and quickly follows a DC offset when the circuit shifts to a reception state. SOLUTION: The comparator circuit needing following a DC offset level is provided with a reference voltage generating section 20 and a means that can independently control a power-down control function of a voltage comparator section 30 on an output side of the generating section 20. In the reception state of a device mounting the comparator circuit, the reference voltage generating section 20 and the voltage comparator section 30 are active and in a transmission state of the device, only the reference voltage generating section 20 is active, and in the pause state of the device, the reference voltage generating section 20 and the voltage comparator section 30 are brought into a power-down state. In the transmission state, the reference voltage generating section 20 is configured to keep e.g. a reference level, so that the device can follow the DC offset quickly when the device shifts next to the reception state.
