PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical recording type recording medium, provided with a data communication function in a data carrier system by the reasonable arrangement of a data carrier module with respect to the recording medium of the optical recording type. SOLUTION: A metal layer 5 is provided between both transparent resin layers 2 and 3 of the optical recording type recording medium 1. This metal layer 5 has circular-arc steps 6 and 6 formed to be concentric-circular to a hole 4. A recording part 7 for recording digital information is formed inside more than the steps 6 and 6, and a thin part 8 thinner than the recording part 7 is formed outside. A gap 9 is formed between the thin part 8 and a backside transparent resin layer 3, a data carrier IC 11 as the IC chip of a data carrier module 10 is held in the gap 9, and the antenna coil 12 of the data carrier module 10 is disposed annularly by being held between the outer peripheral ends of both transparent resin layers 2 and 3. |
