COMMUNICATION CONTROL METHOD IN AUTOMATIC RETRANSMISSION REQUEST SYSTEM AND ITS DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication controller that can surely prevent an overflow where a multi-value of received data exceeds a storage capacity of a buffer and reduce the buffer capacity to a proper value. SOLUTION: The communication controller is provided with a data buffer 13 and a reception buffer 15 that temporarily store received data. A reception data transfer processing section 14 that transfers the received data from the data buffer 13 to the reception buffer 14 monitors a write enable state/write disabled state of the data buffer 13 and the reception buffer 15 and informs a retransmission control processing section 12 making a retransmission request about idle information that is set to a busy state when there is an error in the received data. The retransmission control processing section 12 transmits retransmission control information by regarding all data received from a frame reception means 1 to have a data error while a busy state is set to the idle information to request a frame transmission means 2 to stop the processing of frame transmission. Or an error discrimination processing section may regard the received data to have an error through the busy setting.
