The invention relates to an animal feed composition which comprises a feed substance and, for a better digestion of the fats and a more efficient use of the feedstuff, also comprises a ready for use phospholipase additive and a phospholipid consisting of lecithin, optionally. The phospholipase is an A2-type phospholipase obtained from a mammalian or a micro-organism. The mammalian A2 phospholipase is selected from the group consisting of the A2 phospholipases from cattle, porcines, rodents, rats or of the human type. The phospholipase can also be obtained by the expression of the recombinant DNA in a micro-organism selected from among bacteria, yeasts and filamentous fungi. The claimed composition comprises an amount of phospholipase ranging between 1,000 and 5,000,000 U.I./kg of phospholipid and between 100 and 1,000 U.I./kg of feedstuff. |
