摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus by which the cross-sectional shape of a rail can be measured simply and with high accuracy. SOLUTION: The measuring apparatus is composed of a data measuring device 1 and a data processor 2. The data measuring device 1 comprises a measuring part 7 which measures the circumference of an object to be measured, while the reference point of the device is used as the center of rotation. The measuring device 1 comprises a mounting part 6 which fixes the device to the object to be measured. The data processor 2 controls the measuring device 1, and it acquires a signal to be output from the measuring device 1. The measuring part 7 is provided with a radiation part which radiates inspection waves to the object to be measured. The measuring part 7 is provided with a reception part which receives reflected waves from the surface of the object to be measured. The measuring part 7 is provided with an output part which outputs a signal indicating the reception position of received waves.
