<p>The invention relates to a flexible hollow sealing member used for insulating the cables and pipes from the environment, particularly for the ones located inside a duct or in the case of a connexion box in order to prevent the ingress of water, gas or other contaminating agents into a duct, through a manhole, etc., or in order to protect a cable connection from the environment. The flexible hollow sealing member (1) which can be inflated through a hole (8) in a wall (4), in order to seal an article, comprises a first sealing material (10) on an inwardly-facing surface of wall (4), this first sealing material (10) being deformable to block the hole (8) by the pressure inside the member when inflated, and a means (18) for maintaining, during the deformation of said first sealing material (10), the separation between said article and an outwardly-facing surface of the wall immediately adjacent the hole (8).</p> |
