A vibratory screening device for garbage &c. comprises at least one screen formed by inclined coplanar rods 6 extending cantilever fashion from cross-supports 4 of a casing having side walls 1, 1<SP>1</SP>. The rods have spaced collars 8 whereby they are bolted to their supports. As shown, two such screens are arranged in cascade so that oversize from the upper screen falls on to the lower one. The secured ends of the rods are covered by plates 10, 11. Brackets 12 may be provided with their one sides secured to the casing and their upper sides secured to the undersides of the screen rods. Vibration is imparted by a shaft 14 extending through the casing and being given an eccentric rotation.</p> |
