<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately control an electric device even from a remote place. SOLUTION: An electronic mail with a control command interpolated therein is sent via a public channel 2 and received by a modem section 21 of a gateway 20, converted into digital data and fed to a control section 22. The CPU 22a of the control section 22 stores the received electronic mail into a RAM 22c and the control command included in the electronic mail is extracted. Then a control signal corresponding to the control command is fed to an interface section 23. The interface section 23 allows an IR transmission section 26 to transmit a signal corresponding to the control signal supplied from the CPU 22a or to output the signal via a connection line 28 to control a video deck 27.</p> |
