DEVELOPER FOR TRICKLE DEVELOPMENT METHOD AND METHOD FOR IMAGE FORMATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developer for a trickle development method and to provide a method for image formation by which collision energy of the carrier and the toner by agitation in a developing machine and in a replenishing machine of the developer is suppressed to prevent embedding of an external additive into the toner and which has resistance against deterioration of the toner, excellent transfer property, resistance against contamination by the carrier and stable electrification performance. SOLUTION: In the developer for the trickle development method consisting of a mixture of the toner and the carrier to be sued to form a full-color image, the toner contains inorganic fine particles inside and the volume average particle size D50v of the toner ranges from 5.0 to 9.0μm. An external additive is added to the toner. The carrier has 3.00 to 4.60 absolute specific gravity and the volume average particle size in the carrier ranges from 15 to 60μm. The ratio of the volume average particle size of the carrier to that of the toner ranges from 3.00 to 7.00.
