PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manganese dry battery having superior airtightness with stability irrespective of a variety of heat-shrinkable tube. SOLUTION: The manganese dry battery is equipped with a negative-electrode zinc can filled with positive-electrode flux via a separator, a carbon rod inserted at the center of the positive-pole flux, a sealing body that seals an opening of the negative-pole zinc can and has a center hole, through which the carbon rod penetrates, and a heat shrinkable tube that covers a portion from side face of the negative-pole zinc can over the peripheral edge of the sealing body. The said heat-shrinkable tube consists of at least one selected among polystyrene, polypropylene, polyethylene, and a copolymer of ethylene and propylene. A sealant is given at least between the opening end of the said negative- electrode zinc can and the sealing body. |
