摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain information about a good-accuracy distance irrespective of a light receiving spot position on each sensor row by a method wherein respective maximum values are detected on the basis of image information on corresponding pixels in a first sensor row and a second sensor row. SOLUTION: The maximum value of a pixel signal from the first sensor row is detected as a first maximum value in the first sensor row. A pixel position which indicates in which pixel order the first maximum value is situated on the first sensor row is found (#205). The phase difference between a pair of pieces of image information is found approximately (#206). A maximum value which is obtained on the basis of the image information corresponding to a region in which several front and rear pixels separated by the approximate phase difference from the pixel position of the first maximum value in the first sensor row are replaced on the second sensor row is detected as a second maximum value in the second sensor row (#207). On the basis of the maximum value, the pair of pieces of image information are standardized. A phase difference is found on the basis of the pair of pieces of standardized image information. On the basis of the phase difference, the information about the distance up to an object to be distance-measured is calculated.
