PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a folding approach preventing fence capable of attaining good foldability, lowering failure rate, and hardly restoring to the leg open state even in a lateral inclined attitude by realizing a new latch mechanism. SOLUTION: This folding approach preventing fence is provided with a front member connecting a pair of right and left front pier stud members 12 and 14 to each other, a rear member 20 connecting a pair of right and left rear pier stud members 22 and 24 to each other, and a holding connecting rod 30 journalized to be front pier stud member 12 in an upper intersecting part of the right and left pier stud members 12 and 14 (12 and 24) and serving as the center of rotation of the rear pier stud member 22. The rear pier stud member 22 is displaceable in the axial direction to the close to and separate from the front pier stud member 12 by a designated stroke L.
