The invention relates to human and murine ob recombinant proteins, having a biological activity of reducing the food intake and weight putting on rates, to DNA sequence encoding the ob recombinant proteins, to a process for producing the recombinant protein by means of DNA sequence encoding the same, and to an ob recombinant protein conjugate resulting by condensating the same with polymeric materials known per se.
