PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of the conventional multiple location video conference system wherein a location name displayed on a screen is sometimes different in each terminal even though the same terminal number is received from an MCU due to the occurrence of the contents deviation of a 'terminal number-location name' conversion table because individual terminals separately update the respective 'terminal number-place name' conversion tables held the terminal devices. SOLUTION: A terminal A outputs the update date information of the 'terminal number-place name' conversion table in S1 at the point of time when the MCU starts to communicate with the terminal A. Thus, the MCU compares the update date information from the terminal A with the update date information of a 'terminal number-place name' conversion table the MCU itself has, and outputs the table data of the 'terminal number-place name' conversion table the MCU itself has to the terminal A in S3 when the update date information is different from each other. The terminal A updates the 'terminal number-location name' conversion table in S3. Thus, the contents of the 'terminal number-location name' conversion table the MCU has are made identical with those of the 'terminal number-location name' conversion table the terminal A has so that a location name to be displayed on the screen are made the same. |
