PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the time efficiency in image quality of image data obtained by scanning, such as printing processing, and recording of the data to an image data recording medium, and to easily control the image data recording medium, as for an automatic developing system. SOLUTION: The automatic developing system for performing the photographic processing of a film is provided with a photographic processing part for performing the photographic processing of the film, a scanning means for scanning the film, an image data storing means for storing the image data obtained by the scanning means, and an outputting means for outputting the image data stored by the image data storing means. The film is scanned in the midst of the photographic processing of the film, and the image data outputting operation is started in the midst of the photographic processing of the film.
