PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the outdoor machine of an air-conditioner to reduce deformation of a piping cover as much as possible even when weight is applied on the upper part of the outdoor machine and to eliminate poor appearance by decreasing the number of gaps between a side plate and the piping cover. SOLUTION: An opening through which refrigerant piping connected to a compressor and an outdoor heat exchanger is led is formed in a rectangular parallelepiped-shaped lower corner in which the compressor and the outdoor heat exchanger are contained, A piping cover to cover the opening is provided and the piping cover is locked at the periphery of the opening by a screw through a through-hole formed in the cover. In the so formed outdoor machine of the air-conditioner, the size of the through-hole formed in the piping cover is set to a value larger than the diameter of the stem of the screw, and the piping cover is set to a value at which the piping cover is easy to slide over a body.
