PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotating anode X-ray tube apparatus that can maintain stable rotation characteristics over a long period of time by suppressing temperature rise at bearing portions. SOLUTION: The rotating anode type X-ray tube apparatus is equipped with a rotating anode type X-ray tube whose fixture 15, constituting a rotating mechanism extends at the end tip up to an outside of a vacuum envelope 23, a container 27 that accommodates this rotating anode X-ray tube, and a retaining member 26 that fixes an edge 15a of the fixture 15 composing the X-ray tube. A metallic ring 26a, of the retaining member 26, that fixes the edge 15a of the fixture 15 is formed with a highly heat-conducting material with a heat conductivity of or higher 100 W/m.K at the normal temperature.
