PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vortex flowmeter of which the S/N ratio is enhanced. SOLUTION: The vortex flowmeter, which detects the twist alternating force acting on a columnar vortex generation body or force receiving body by a Kalman vortex to measure a flow rate is equipped with the vortex generation body or force receiving body inserted in a pipeline through which a fluid to be measured flows, a twist detection sensor for detecting the twist alternating force acting on the vortex generation body or force receiving body and the joint provided to at least one surface in the axial direction of the vortex generation body or force receiving body of the twist detection sensor and sufficiently high in the twsit regidity centering around the axial direction but low in bending rigidity or rigidity in compression direction.
