PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To directly detect the angle of steering basically with resistors, output conductors and brushes of one set each. SOLUTION: Both of first and second resistors and of output conductors 3 and 4 are each formed in an endless ring unbroken without seam covering 360 deg. and brushes 5 and 6 are bridged between the resistors 1 and 2 and the output conductors 3 and 4 while a power source and both earth terminals 7 and 8 are arranged on the circumference of both the resistors 1 and 2. This achieves a detecting action over the entire circumference without any dead zone.
