PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a humidifier/dehumidifier capable of freely humidifying and dehumidifying without necessity of supplying water for humidifying or discarding dehumidified water. SOLUTION: The humidifier/dehumidifier comprises a suction port 2 on a front surface of a body housing 1, an air outlet 3 provided at a lower part of the housing 1, a blower 4, a heating means 5, a moisture absorbing/radiating material layer 6 and a control means 7 in the housing 1. The heating means 5 and the moisture absorbing/radiating material layer 6 are disposed in an air passage 8 for connecting the port 2 to the blower 4, an air duct switching means 10 is disposed in a discharge passage 9 of the blower 4, and an exhaust tube 11 communicating with an outdoor is provided at a part of the passage 9 at an upstream of the switching means 10.
