PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an incinerator having a simple structure and an excellent operability which can perfectly burn regular refuse, such as paper scraps or the like, and variety of wastes (objects to be incinerated), such as synthetic resin, medical wastes or the like, which has such an excellent environmental hygiene as to prevent generation of toxic gases, such as smoke, dioxins or the like, and which has such an excellent incinerating performance as to control the incinerating rate of the objects to be incinerated. SOLUTION: The incinerator comprises a combustion portion 2 having a combustion chamber 15, an outer wall 3 which is formed at an outer peripheral side of an inner wall 14 being distanced therefrom by a given distance, an air path 16 formed between the wall 14 and the wall 3, a lower block-up wall 17 for blocking the lower portion of the path 16. The incinerator further comprises an air supply port 7 which is connected to a blower 9 through an air s supply pipe 8, being open in the tangential direction of the wall 3, an upper combustion chamber 4 which is disposed above the combustion portion 2 so as to be freely opened and closed with an exhaust port being provided at an upper end portion thereof, an air outlet 18 formed between the upper end of the path 16 and the lower end of the chamber 4, and a bottom 10 which is disposed below the combustion portion 2 so as to be freely opened and closed.
