PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the structure, increase energy efficiency, and provide a sufficient operation force. SOLUTION: This actuator driving device comprises a plurality of actuator units 1 having variable speed motors 1a, bi-directional delivery hydraulic pumps 1b driven by the respective variable speed motor 1a, and hydraulic cylinders 1c operated by pressure oil from the bi-directional delivery hydraulic pumps 1b, a converter/inverter 3 for converting an alternating current source 2 to a direct current source and an alternating current source in that order, an inverter output changeover part 4 for selectively applying inverter output voltage from the converter/inverter 3 to any variable speed motor 1a, and a controller 5 for controlling the converter/inverter 3 and the inverter output changeover part 4.
