PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contents acquisition device 1a that can select a proper connection method before data reception. SOLUTION: A browser section Pbw of the contents acquisition device 1a generates an acquisition request Dcreq of sub contents data Dsc to be acquired. A protocol control section Ppc decides whether it uses a 1st communication path 4pkt or a 2nd communication path 4tel before receiving the sub contents data Dsc specified by the browser section Pbw. When the protocol control section Ppc decides the use of the 1st communication path 4pkt, a 1st communication control section Pcc1 receives the sub contents data Dsc designated by the browser section Pbw from a contents server 3. When the protocol control section Ppc decides the use of the 2nd communication path 4tel, a 2nd communication control section Pcc2 receives the sub contents data Dsc designated by the browser section Pbw from the contents server 3.
