<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle management system and method by which both of vehicles and drivers can be efficiently managed. SOLUTION: A driver ID is read from a driver ID card 3 possessed by the driver by a driver ID reader 1 provided in the vehicle, and transmitted from a communication antenna together with a vehicle ID previously applied to the vehicle. The transmitted wave is received by on-road communication equipment 5, which is installed on the road, and transferred to a vehicle managing database 6. In the vehicle management database 6, the transferred data are changed into prescribed format, preserved and displayed, retrieved or printed out as needed.</p> |
