PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video display system or the like capable of preventing video quality from being deteriorated, by properly keeping a video signal synchronized with each pixel when the video signal is transmitted from a video signal output device to a video display device. SOLUTION: A video signal output device generates a synchronous clock synchronizing with a generation timing of each pixel signal composing the video signal, and generates a superimposed signal by superimposing the synchronous clock on the video signal for a blanking period of the video signal by a superposition control signal consisting of a pulse train having the period of the horizontal synchronous signal among the video signal. Then, the video signal output device transmits the superimposed signal to the video display device together with the horizontal synchronous signal and the vertical synchronous signal, and the video display device extracts the synchronous clock from the superimposed signal, and controls a display timing of the video signal using a dot clock phase-synchronized with the synchronous clock. |
