PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a telephone set where an incoming call without a caller number can be discriminated without the need for viewing a display section. SOLUTION: The telephone set that can ring a call tone in response to a caller of an incoming call at the arrival of the incoming call, sets a 1st call tone to an incoming call without a caller number, a 2nd call tone to an incoming call with a caller telephone number, and sets a 3rd call tone to an incoming call in which no telephone number is registered.
