PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a joint device for a floor, which smoothly follows up to quakes and is moved without forming openings at both end sections and is not damaged even when left-right buildings are quaked in the different longitudinal horizontal directions by an earthquake or the like. SOLUTION: The joint device for the floor is composed of a recessed section formed to a floor skeleton on the joint-section side of one building, a trapezoidal fixed joint plate, in which a rear end section is installed to the floor skeleton on the joint-section side of the other building and which has a site roller near to the central section of the front end section positioned at approximately central section of the recessed section, a pair of end-section joint plates, in which rear end sections are supported pivotally to both side sections at the rear ends of the fixed joint plate and rollers are mounted at front end sections and which cover openings at both end sections of the fixed joint plate, a pair of auxiliary joint plates, which are supported pivotally at the rear end sections of a pair of the end-section joint plates, in which rollers are secured at front end sections and which are projected to the outside, and cover plates fixed onto the floor skeleton of one building so that the front end sections of the fixed joint plate can be slid and moved and the recessed section is covered.
