PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing device for a pressurized blowing hood, which keeps the seal property of the pressurized blowing hood provided above a sintering-material-filled layer charged in a bottom suction system of sintering machine and also possesses serviceability, and also provide a sealing method. SOLUTION: In a sealing device for a pressurized blowing hood which is provided above a sintering-material-filled layer 2 charged in a bottom suction system of sintering machine, a sealing piece 15 consisting of the composite material between a hard rigid body and an elastic body is installed under the bottom 13 of the skirt of that pressurized blowing hood such that it slides on the surface of the above sintering-material-filled layer 2.
