The locking gear selector includes a twist grip with a winding spool and lock for positioning of the spring-loaded gear change cable, and a fixing component with a recess(5) to accommodate a detent spring(1). The detent spring can occupy two positions in the spring recess and the position change is carried out by force control. The detent spring has a protrusion(2) engaging in slots(3) and by its base(4) is supported in the recess in the fixing component.
