<p>A controller (4) performs an interrupt operation every constant frame rate. Upon starting the interrupt operation, it is judged whether or not data in an electronic ink layer is to be updated. The content of data to be updated is read out of a memory (6) and written. The controller (4) judges whether or not the refresh timing has come on the basis of the time measurement based on the count of a counter, and orders a refresh operation. The refresh operation is a rewrite operation for continuing the data holding if a preset time for which the memorability of the electronic ink layer is maintained has elapsed.</p> |
