A dynamic image display method wherein one field is composed of a plurality of subfields having different weights of luminance, and the combination of the subfields of which one field is composed is changed to display a required gradation. A dynamic vectors which indicates the direction and distance of movement of an image is detected from the image data, and image data which give to the retina of a viewer the gradation equivalent to the gradation which is given to the retina when the image moves are newly generated in accordance with the detected motion vector. The combination of the subfields is determined in accordance with the newly generated image data. |
