The system drives AC motors (M1,M2) via controllable electronic switch elements (TrA,TrB) controlled by a drive unit. At least two motors are combined to a common motor group driven by the same drive unit ( 2) in synchronized manner so that a resulting total current is at least approximately free of sub-harmonic components.
