The retainer is formed in combination with an enclosure panel (24) formed with an opening (46) having two ends, a cover (38) shaped to close the opening, and an outwardly bent tab (41) adjacent the first opening end for securing the first cover end to the panel. The panel is formed with a second opening adjacent but spaced laterally of the first opening, and a retainer is provided for the second cover end. The retainer comprises a latch door (57), and a second device (58,59) mounting the latch door for movement between a first position engaging the panel and a second position remote from the first position. The latch door has a resilient latch engageable with the second cover end when the latch door is in second latch door position to engage the second cover end to retain the cover in position closing off the first opening.
