<p>A controller for motor power steering system in which a motor for providing a steering mechanism with a steering assist force is controlled based on a steering assist command value operated based on a steering torque generated in a steering shaft and the current value of the motor, in order to enhance the steering performance by imparting continuous hysteresis characteristics through an inexpensive software configuration, thereby attaining a stabilized comfortable sterring feeling continuously. The controller for motor power steering system comprises an auxiliary operating means for adding a differentiated signals of steering torque to the steering assist command value and varying the gain of differentiation depending on the magnitude of steering torque and vehicle speed.</p> |
