A lacquer comprises 0.1 to 1 part of polymonochlorotrifluoroethylene and 0.1 to 1 part of an organic amine dispersed in a hydrocarbon solvent such as toluene or xylene. The amine may be N-methyldiethanolamine, diethanolamine, triethanolamine, paraphenylenediamine, diisopropylamine, diethylethanolamine, isopropylamine, dimethylethanolamine, monoethanolamine, aminoethylethanolamine, diethylenetriamine, monoisopropanolamine, tetraethylenepentamine, ethylenediamine, triethylenetetramine, propylenediamine, triethylamine, N-aminopropylmorpholine, N-acetylethanolamine, diisopropanolamine, N-hydroxyethylmorpholine, triisopropanoltriamine, tri-n-amylamine, or diethylamine. The amine is preferably added to the dispersion in solution or dispersion in nitromethane or a mixture of nitromethane and methyl alcohol. A small amount of acetaldehyde may also be present. |
