The invention relates to a device for operating a windscreen wiper comprising a moisture sensor detecting the wetness of a windscreen in addition to detecting rain and droplets in fog and drizzle. Incremental values (Ink) are assigned to the measuring values (Us) of the moisture sensor by a control unit. A sign is allocated in the memory to the difference between two successive incremental values (Ink) to form a sum of similar previously formed differentials. Once a threshold value (S) has been reached by the sum stored in the memory, the control unit turns on the windscreen wiper. |
