A biosensor which has a developing layer (2) comprising a reagent fixing section (5) for fixing an antibody against a substance to be measured in a solution to be tested and a reagent holding section (4) for holding the above antibody being in a dry and labeled state and eluted by the development of the solution to be tested and which determines the substance to be measured in the solution to be tested qualitatively or quantitatively by measuring the amount of the labeled reagent bound to the reagent fixing section (5), characterized in that a space forming article (8) is provided to form an interstice (1) for the inflow of the solution to be tested between the article and the developing layer (2). The biosensor allows accurate and easy measurement even with a very small volume of a solution to be tested, without the need for a high grade instrument or precise operation.
