The invention relates to an antenna system for mobile telecommunications terminals, especially devices, which are carried on or attached to or in the proximity of a body part, and to a corresponding band, belt, or strap, which consists of one or more parts and which is attached to the device housing. The antenna is configured as a flat or rod-shaped radiator and is affixed to or in the housing on the top side while extending away from the body part, whereby the band, e.g. a wristband, is fastened to the housing underneath the radiator.
