<p>The invention concerns an insoluble random copolymer comprising a synthetic polymer whereof the base monomeric units are substituted by at least an amino acid or an amino acid derivative, obtainable by a method comprising the following steps: a) synthesizing a library of insoluble copolymers by random substituting of a synthetic polymer with amino acids or derivatives thereof; b) preparing a cell culture of a given protist; c) contacting the copolymers prepared in step a) with a fraction of the cell culture prepared in step b); d) selecting and identifying copolymers exhibiting specific affinity towards said protist; and e) synthesizing a polymer identified at the end of step d). The invention also concerns the uses of said copolymer and a method for selecting copolymers exhibiting specific affinity towards a given protist.</p> |
