A transfer apparatus for articles is provided comprising: (a) a support; and (b) an ann, engaging or connecting to the support and movable between a firs t and second position vertically displaced relative to one another, the arm being rotatable about the support in a substantially vertical plane from a first side of the suppo rt to a second side of the support opposite the first side, the arm comprising; (i) a connector having a releasable attachment for engaging an article, wherein the connector is located distant from the support; and (ii) a rotation device to rotate the connector relative to the arm to re- orient the article attached to the connector from an attachment position on the first side of the support to a detachment position on the second side of the support.</ SDOAB>
