A hospital information providing system (20) is connected to patient terminals (23) and hospital terminals (22) and has a medical information database (25) where medical information is stored and a medical information terminal (24) connected to the medical information database. In response to a request of one of the patient terminals for hospital information providing service, the medical information terminal promts the patient terminal to transmit hospital selection condition information including the requested reservation date and time and the geograhpical condition of hospital, searches the medical information database under the hospital geographical condition transmitted from the patient terminal, specifies hospitals, transmits reservation inquiry information including requested reservation date and time to the hospital terminals of the specified hospitals, creates a list of hospitals satisfiying the hospital geographical condition and capable of accepting the reservation on the requested reservation date and at the reservation requested time in accordance with information about reservation acceptance received from the hospital terminal, and transmits the list to the patient terminal.
