A mesh producing method ensuring calculation precision and capable of shortening the time to produce a mesh and making the most of the experience of the analyzer. The mesh producing method used for creating a finite element model enabling high-precision structure numerical analysis by computer calculation, characterized in that a finite element model of a basic shape which is the foundation of the shape of an object to be produced is created by a semiautomatic mesh method, and the positions of the nodes constituting the elements of the model are changed without changing the number of nodes while modifying the boundary of the produced basic shape, thereby creating a finite element model of the shape of the object.
