<p>Improved modular burglar bars (1) are of the type that comprise at least one pair of tubular uprights (2, 3), parallel to each other and joined by a set of transversal elements (4). Each upright (2, 3) is equipped with a pair of first sliding bolts (5, 6) located at the ends of the uprights (2, 3) and designed to be inserted into corresponding holes (7, 8) made in the upper and lower edges (9, 10) of the wall opening (A) to be protected or in corresponding security crossbars (11, 12) using drive means (13) located in each upright (2, 3) and actuated by key-operated means (14). In the improvement, each upright (2, 3) is made in a single piece, the drive means (13) of each upright (2, 3) are pre-assembled on a corresponding casing (15) that can be slid into and attached to the inside of the upright (2, 3), and the key-operated means (14) of each upright (2, 3) can be coupled directly to the drive means (13) housed inside the upright (2, 3) through a single matching hole (16) made in one surface (2a, 3a) of the upright (2, 3).</p> |
