<p>A likelihood deciding unit (111) calculates, by use of the data before hard decision of a received signal, the likelihood of the hard decision data on the received signal, and makes a threshold decision of the calculated likelihood by use of a predetermined threshold value 1 . A switch control unit (112) is responsive to a decision signal from the likelihood deciding unit (111) to control a switch unit (113) so that the switch unit (113) outputs an error signal to a weight control unit (105) when the reliability of the hard decision signal is high.
