The wind machine comprises a propeller (12) mounted for free rotation within a head (11) and allowed for pivotal movement relative to a tower (10). The propeller (12) consists of one hollow, preferably twisted blade (16). Within the tower (10), the head (11), the blades (16) of the propeller (12) there is one air-tight continuous duct (21) that has one air intake (22) in the proximity of the base of the tower (10) and one air outlet (18) at or in the proximity of the tip the blades (16) of the propeller (12). The wind machine further comprises, arranged downstream from the air intake (22) of the air-tight duct (21) a power unit (23) such as an air-turbine capable of converting the energy the air flow through the air duct (21) into energy of rotation, and a rotary machine (24) capable of directly utilising the energy of rotation is coupled to the power unit (23). An outer peripheral portion of the propeller (12) is shaped as an aerodynamic air pump (13) which is, separated from a remaining central inner portion of said propeller (12). The air outlet opening is arranged, as a functional part of the air pump (13), within the outer peripheral portion of said propeller (12) in a convex profile surface of the blades (16) exposed when rotating, to depression. The propeller (12) has at least one tip end border member (14) capable of preventing pressure equalisation between the convex profile surface of the blades (16) exposed to depression, and an opposite profile surface of the blades (16) exposed when rotating, to higher pressure. At least one parting member (15) is provided along an inner border line of the air pump (13) facing the remaining central inner portion of he propeller (12). |
