PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a printer in which the sheet size or the sheet discharge address are outputted while being altered as the backup processing of sheet jam and interruption of the backup processing is controlled centrally. SOLUTION: After sheet jam is released (S1), a selection for altering the sheet size of a jammed page to other sheet size is urged at a display section (S2). Alteration of sheet size is confirmed (S3), and if alteration is designated (Yes), selection of sheet size is displayed (S5). When a sheet size is selected with a switch on an operation panel (S6), sheet size information of backup information of the jammed page is altered to a selected size (S7), the backup information is varied to the selected sheet size (S8), and a print is formed again with the selected sheet size and outputted (S9). Since the print of jammed page is formed again while altering the sheet size, image data is not discarded. |
