PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a seizuring material having fluidity sufficient to cover furnace bottom electrodes of a DC electric furnace without a change such as settling and separation of coarse particles with time, burnable and hardenable for a short time, having a high adhesive strength, a strength withstanding scrap charging and high corrosion resistance to a slag from low to high basicity, having resistivity of the order of <=10-2 Ω.m as an electroconductive dry seizuring material after seizuring, and excellent in economical efficiency and preservability. SOLUTION: This electroconductive dry seizuring material is obtained by mixing 3-49 wt.% of an electroconductive material with 5-25 wt.% of a pitch having 80-300 deg.C softening point, 0.1-12 wt.% of a fluidizing aid and the balance of a constituent material of a refractory material. |
