PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for burning a ceramic in which good burning of the ceramic can be carried out, a tunnel type burning furnace, a method and device for producing a ceramic electronic part, and to provide a housing unit for burning the ceramic electronic part. SOLUTION: This method for burning a ceramic comprises feeding an atmospheric gas from the lateral side from the forward direction of a product which is to be treated and passed through a tunnel 3 through a feed pipe 5 into the furnace and discharging a gas in the furnace from the bottom of the furnace through a discharge pipe 6 when the unbaked product which is to be treated and contains a ceramic raw material is burned in the tunnel type baking furnace. Thereby, an air stream is stably produced from the product to be treated toward the bottom of the furnace. As a result, the fresh atmospheric gas can always be fed to the product to be treated.
