PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an insulation film having an adhesive layer containing neither a halogen nor a phosphorous compound and excellent in flame retardance though inexpensive and a flat cable obtained using the same. SOLUTION: In an insulation film having a flame-retardant adhesive layer comprising an insulating substrate such as a polyethylene terephthalate or the like and an adhesive layer formed thereon, the adhesive layer is formed from a resin composition comprising 100 pts.wt. of a base resin and, incorporated therewith, 40-150 pts.wt. of aluminum hydroxide, 40-150 pts.wt. of magnesium hydroxide, 10-50 pts.wt. of calcium carbonate and 10-50 pts.wt. of a boric acid compound. As the base resin of the adhesive layer, is employed a resin containing at least 10 pts.wt. of a crystalline resin having a glass transition temperature of 25 deg.C or lower and a melting point of at least 50 deg.C. Further, plural conductive materials are sandwiched in parallel between two sheets of the insulating films having a flame-retardant adhesive layer with each adhesive layer facing the inside and subjected to heat fusion to give a flat cable. |
