PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of arbitrarily controlling lamella orientation in TiAl single crystal alloy having a sufficient high-temperature strength suitable to practical use. SOLUTION:γ-Single phase TiAl single crystal alloy whose primary crystal isγ-phase is used as a seed crystal and TiAl-based single crystal alloy is coagulated in one direction, preferably by optical type floating zone melting method from the above seed crystal to grow the TiAl-based single crystal alloy.
